There is absolutely no way that I can afford to pay for college out of my own pocket, the cost is far too prohibitive. I did some research to see what can of financial assistance I can get from the government and was quite pleased to see the large number of scholarships for high school seniors that are on offer these days. I think it is a very admirable thing to offer more young people the change to improve themselves and get a good education. It is also a good thing for the country, as the more educated the population is, the better the economy will do.
Maybe I am just saying that because it benefits me? I believe it strongly though.
So I found some scholarships that seemed to suit my circumstances, and spent nearly six hours filling out the application forms online. I figured that the decision of whether to give me the scholarship or not will largely be based on my application, so might as well put as much effort into it as possible.
Hopefully it will go well, I will make another blog post on this site once I have received back the final verdict!
